COMPLAINTS

Holy Spirit Netball Club endeavours that issues within teams are handled by the coach. The coach may speak to the whole team or specific players individually. If the issue is a serious matter they should ask a parent / guardian to be in attendance and to advise the club. Should a coach need to speak to the whole team about values, on court discipline / conduct, it is requested that the parents / guardians are informed that such a discussion has taken place.

Complaints to the club can be raised verbally with the Executive (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer) or via writing to the club.

When the club receives a complaint in writing, they will either acknowledge the complaint in writing, in person or via a phone call as soon as possible and no longer than 3 business days by the President. If the complaint is regarding the President, the response will be made by the Vice President.

When a complaint is raised the Executive will determine the seriousness of the issue and could result in a:

•   An informal discussion in person / phone call

•   A formal discussion in person

•   A formal request for a written response

Holy Spirit Netball Club will follow Netball Victoria’s Code of Conduct (as included on the Holy Spirit Netball Club Website) and Netball Australia’s Integrity Policies  which includes Child Safe Standards and Member Protection Policy

Following Members of the Executive (or those delegated by the Executive) obtaining the facts around the complaint, if there is deemed a breach of a Code of Conduct or any Netball Australia Policies the Executive shall determine the ramifications and communicate formally to all parties involved.
