GAME DAY INFORMATION

COMPETITION INFORMATION

The MENA competition is played on Friday evenings (NSG) and Saturday (11&U to Open) at:

 

The Nets
H E Parker Reserve

Heathmont Rd, Heathmont 


 

U9 games are played on a Friday afternoon between 4.30 and 6.30pm
U11 games commence at 8am on a Saturdays and conclude with Open at 5pm. 

 

The length of the games are four quarters (usually 10 minutes).

 

There are two seasons in the year, Autumn (February to June) and Spring (July to December).  Competition is played in school terms, excluding long weekends or the last weekend of term.

UNIFORM

HSNC uniform consists of 

  • Club skirt/shorts and polo only available through club uniform officer.

  • White ankle socks (any kind). Club ones are available through uniform officer.

 

Optional items of clothing available from the club include:

  • Club hoodie and club jacket.

 

As per the MENA Adverse Weather Policy  if the weather is under 10 degrees, players may wear black leggings under their skirt/shorts and a long sleeve white t-shirt under their HSNC club polo. 

 

PLAYERS:

  • Players may not wear anything that could endanger themselves or other players, specifically: 

a. No adornment or jewellery may be worn other than a wedding ring which must be covered with tape. 

b. Fingernails shall be cut short and smooth or taped with correct tape prior to the game commencing. 

c. A medical alert bracelet may be worn provided it is covered with tape. 

d. Hair must be suitably tied back.

e. Beads may only be worn if secured TIGHTLY against the head with no movement possible.

MATCH DAY SCORERS:

  • Each team must provide one scorer. 

  • One scorer will complete the scoresheet and one will operate the scoreboard (U/11 and above on inside courts). 

  • Scorers must sit /stand together. The scorers should regularly communicate to ensure the score displayed is correct. 

  • The score on the Scoresheet is official and will stand should there be a difference between what is displayed on the scoreboard and what is written on the scoresheet.

  • MENA will supply an official score sheet which must be collected from the venue competition office by the HOME team prior to the game. 

  • After the game the completed scoresheet is to be handed into the same office immediately by the WINNING team.

PLAYER FILL INS

On occasion a HSNC team may not have sufficient player numbers to field a team of 7 and in that instance the coach may seek a fill in player from a lower grade / age group. It is required that fill in opportunities are rotated among players. Players need to be aware of the number of times they have filled in for other teams, as there is a maximum number of times before you are assigned to a new team.
